CANCELLATION POLICY

Your rights to make changes

​

If you wish to amend your booking or transfer to a different workshop, please contact us using the details in the Contact section of our Website. We will let you know if the change is possible. If it is possible we will let you know about any additional fees that may be due, or anything else which would be necessary as a result of your requested change and ask you to confirm whether you wish to go ahead with the change.

Cancellation of a Workshop

  • If you change your mind and want to cancel a workshop more than 14 days before a Workshop is due to start, we will offer you a full refund less any fees we have been charged by the card payment company for processing the booking. .

 

  • If you change your mind and want to cancel a workshop within 7 to 14 days before a Workshop is due to start then provided we can refill your space, we will offer you a full refund less any fees we have been charged by the card payment company for processing the booking. If we cannot refill your space you will not be entitled to any refund.

  • No refund is offered for cancellations received by us within 7 days of when a workshop is due to start or for any no shows on the day.

  • It believes that the promotion and implementation of equality of opportunity is essential to the realisation of these aspirations.

  • All members of the THE BODY REWIRED community have a responsibility to work towards equality of opportunity and racial equality. THE BODY REWIRED recognises that discrimination is unacceptable and should be actively discouraged. We will empower and encourage teachers, learners and partners to recognise and challenge discrimination.

  5. Training will not be affected by age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage, and civil partnership, pregnancy ad maternity, race, religion and belief, sex, sexual orientation and intellectual ability.

  6. The requirements of Equalities Act 2010 will be respected and any amendments or extensions of the act.

  7. Equal opportunities will be integrated into all planning, procedures and course resourcing. All promotional material, course schemes and display items will not reinforce stereotypes and will reflect the diversity of society.

  8. There will be positive reinforcement of the requirements of the policy statement and equal opportunity of provision will be monitored and reviewed at regular intervals amongst students and action will be taken if required.

  9. Encouragement will be given to discuss any concerns over these issues when they occur. A process will be in place to allow these concerns to be fully and confidentially discussed. Support and advice available to help those concerned to understand the problems and take steps to resolve them.

HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY FOR STUDENTS PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY

 

We endeavour to take all possible care for the health and safety of students attending training courses. We ask that you familiarise yourself with the following health and safety guidelines to ensure your safety and that of those around you.

 

 

  • Familiarise yourself with the layout of the building, identifying fire alarms, emergency exits and any potential hazards.

 

  • Please use a change of clothing to practice in, including shoes and have a plastic bin bag to put all used towels and clothes in before departing from the venue.

 

  • Inform your teacher immediately if you discover anything that might compromise the safety of yourself or others.

 

  • Please inform your teacher of any special needs or disabilities. If you are seriously allergic to anything, please let your teacher know what it is and what the effects of exposure to these allergens might be.

 

  • Please inform your teacher if you have any skin conditions or wounds that need particular care or should not be touched.

 

  • During the practical sessions, remain alert at all times and stay focussed. The amount of work received should be considered as practice sessions. You are not having a treatment so do not relax completely. To minimise negative reactions ensure that you drink at least 1 litre of still water each day.

 

  • A first aid kit is available and your teacher is a qualified first-aider. Please see them if you need any first aid and for your own safety, ensure that any incident is recorded in the accident book which is carried by all Safe to Move teachers.

 

  • If you are a smoker, please smoke only in the designated area and thoroughly wash your hands afterwards. The smell of tobacco smoke is very noticeable and unpleasant for many people.

 

  • Wash your hands before and after treatments and after other procedures which will be specified, as well as after using the toilet. Hand gels are provided.

 

  • Paper bedrolls are available and you must use your own towels to lie on.

​

  • You are asked to be responsible for others’ safety as well as your own. Therefore please be aware of the needs of others and avoid leaving bags, clothing or other items where they might create a hazard or obstacle.

 

  • Take care with hot drinks and clear up or report any spillages immediately.

​

  • If you have brought a treatment couch, please erect it yourself and check it regularly to ensure that it is sturdy and that it has not become unstable during the course. Please ensure that it is also of a suitable strength for those using it. We can accept no responsibility for treatment couches.

 

  • If you have brought food or other perishable items, please store them carefully and at appropriate temperatures.

 

  • Please look after your valuables and do not leave any materials of value overnight.

COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE

 

Complaints Handling Policy

Our complaints policy

 

We are committed to providing a high-quality service to all our students. When something goes wrong, we need you to tell us about it. This will help us to improve our standards.

​

If you have a complaint, please contact us with the details. 

​

What will happen next?

​

  1. We will send you a letter acknowledging receipt of your complaint within five days of receiving it, enclosing a copy of this procedure. 

  2. We will then investigate your complaint.

  3. Gus de la Querra will then invite you to a meeting to discuss and hopefully resolve your complaint. I will do this within 14 days of sending you the acknowledgement letter.

  4. Within three days of the meeting, Gus de la Querra will write to you to confirm what took place and any solutions I agreed with you. 

  5. If you do not want a meeting or it is not possible, Gus de la Querra will wend you a detailed written reply to your complaint, including their suggestions for resolving the matter, within 21 days of sending you the acknowledge letter.

  6. At this stage, if you are still not satisfied, you should contact us again and we will arrange for someone unconnected with  the matter to review the decision.

  7. We will write to you within 14 days of receiving your request for a review, confirming our final position on your complaint and explaining our reasons.
